Rotterdam has a new train station. Or better said the city has a new station building to replace the old one. I don’t think you could compare it to buildings like the Liège-Guillemins railway station, but I do think I like Rotterdam Centraal better.
I’ve seen it change over the years. I remember very well when they put up the first Y-collumns and how the mix of old and new looked a bit strange. Every time I got there, one every two or three months, there was something new. And although I don’t remember much of the old station building, I’m pretty sure this new building is an huge improvement.
All the pictures down below are taken on the platforms. The station has an awesome main hall and a great looking passage way, but I like the platforms better. Just look at the light coming trough the glass roof!
I haven’t updated my website in a little while. This was because I simply didn’t have enough time for photography. The last few months have been pretty busy. But I finished my year successfully, so I guess it was worth it.
Now it’s time to dust of my gear and start shooting again. I don’t have much plans/ ideas yet, but I’m sure they will pop up eventually. So stay tuned!
