Paris

A few weeks ago I was in Paris to celebrate the new year. It started as a fun idea and turned into an great road trip to Paris. Rotterdam- Paris is little over 4 hours by car. So we left early on the 31st of December.

I was well equipped for photography. I even had my M645 with me.. But by the time we arrived in the city itself (we first had to check in into the hotel in Torcy), it  was getting already dark and I didn’t feel like photographing. Instead we walked trough the city, just to kill some time until 12 o’clock.

I’ve been here a few times before and I love this city. I even celebrated new years day here before, but that was years ago. This time the mood was entirely different than last time.. Shop windows were emptied by shop owners and barricaded, some streets were closed with large riot shields and there was an entire police army on the streets. It was quite impressive..

But, with or without the strange mood, Paris is awesome!

This entire set is shot on the same roll of film as the ‘wasteland’ series were shot. The roll seemed to be damaged by some sort of light leak. Some photos show some strange discolorations..
